A cavalryman in the 2nd Regiment of Hussars during the reign of Frederick II the Great is riding a rearing bay in natural terrain. He is dressed in a red dolman jacked and flowing blue fur cape lined with white lambskin. On his head he wears a red kalpak cap with dark fox fur; at his side he has a red saddlebag with the initials “FR” (Fredericus Rex), two pistols, and a sabre. The red saddlecloth on the horse has a gold border. (D. Braunová)
